I really love having two sides to my music career. I get to work on really cool projects with really great people. I also love teaching. I have been teaching for over 15 years now teaching music composition. Often I tell people about the reasons to study with a teacher. However the #1 question I get asked is….. How much do you charge ? It seems that until this question is answered there is a nervousness in the conversation. So let’s get that out of the way. My rates and lesson policy is below. This will be current for 2015.
Semester of 10 one hour lesson rates
$70 per lesson, 10 Lessons $700. All lessons must be used within a 13 week period.
“Pay as you go” lesson rates
$85 per lesson. Flexible “as you go”. For the student who only needs lessons on a casual/ drop in lesson basis. Can be scheduled at anytime.
Online Lesson Rates
For online lessons simply deduct $5 off of each lesson price. The policies are exactly the same
Lesson cancellation/ rescheduling
If you need to cancel or scheduled another day for your lesson I simply ask that you give me 24 hours notice. Failure to do so may result in being charged for a lesson. Any lesson missed (with proper notice) will receive a lesson credit and will be made up. All lessons must be completed within the specified time frame. No refunds are given.
How to pay
All types of payment are accepted. Most of our students prefer to pay online with a credit card. On each invoice you will see a “pay here” option. It is very easy and straight forward. If paying by cash or check you will receive a email confirmation in addition to your invoice noting that your payment has been received and credited to your account.
